VanTidy are pleased to announce the all-new updated version of one of our best selling
products – The Rhino Pipe Tube Carrier.
Working closely with the designers at Vantidy and due to the ever increasing demands of today’s professional tradesman, the Rhino tube has now been improved and subjected to rigorous testing that has enabled it to pass an independent 20g City Crash Test (or the equivalent of 80mph to a complete stop in less than 0.2 seconds)
In gaining this certificate, Rhino have gained the German TUV quality endorsement, which is the highest safety endorsement available in Europe. New to the Pipe Tube this year are improved anti theft locks and a more secure steel bulkhead system. As with the original tubes, they are constructed from light but strong, powders coated aluminum tubing and have glass filled plastic end caps for minimal wind drag when fitted to the roof of the van.

This week we undertook the fitting of van racking equipment to a brand new Toyota Hi Ace Powervan. The brief was simple - Fit as much racking to the van as possible! We used the combination unit (2 tied together) to line the van down one side and a standard wheel arch unit next to the side loading door.

The Art Of A Tidy Van is not something that can always be easily achieved. depending on what type of business your in, it could range from lots of small items like nails, screws and washers to larger items - Sink waste traps, copper tubing or worktops...
It has never ceased to amaze me since I've been doing this job that people would spend out all that hard earned cash on a new van, a couple of hundred pounds on a roof rack, and then go and cut corners by putting an old section of soil pipe on the roof to carry their copper bundles!
The van pipe tubes we offer come in 2 styles - The traditional round pipe tube and the Rhino square tube.
All of the pipe tubes come in just over 3 metre lengths to carry 3 metre tubes, allowing for an end cap on each end.
- The VT89 (100mm diameter) van pipe tube holds 31 x 15mm tubes - 14 x 22mm and 10 x 28mm - The VT193 (150mm diameter) van pipe tube holds 57 x 15mm tubes - 30 x 22mm and 21 x 28mm
- The Rhino square pipe tube holds 15 x 54 tubes. (5 plus bundles of 10)
The pipe tubes all have a lockable end cap to stop people removing anything and one of the most important advantages it that THEY ARE SAFE...
Imagine slamming on the brakes or hitting another vehicle head on... All those tubes have to go somewhere and with a plastic cap on a soil pipe, it will be through that!
The
same can be said (if not far more important) with van bulkheads. At Vantidy, we ONLY recommend that you install any type of van racking equipment into a van that has a bulkhead. In crash tests it has been proved that a vehicle with a payload weighing 100kg collides at 50km per hour, the load becomes 40 times its weight and small objects become deadly as they are catapulted in the direction of its driver. Makes you think now doesn't it?
